If you ready the Patreon messages there is no one really complaining much. Most even say Take your Time.
Could that have something to do with the fact that they're young & still at a stage of their lives where they think they're going to live forever? Bear in mind that the Dev put the issue to supporters of whether event based updates were the way to go & result in one per month. I'm guessing the answer was yes because we now have event-based updates but they take more than double the forecast time. They've turned out to be the most horrible way to tell ANY story.
Aladdin, "Oh genie of the lamp, my first wish is to marry the Princess. Genie, "I hear & obey but just give me 5 years. I'll get right back to you. I've got 1,001 things to sort out first." ['Take your time.' Take longer if you need to.']
Many people here on this thread will, (hopefully) be alive in 2055 or whenever. I doubt that many of them will still be wondering if the 'period drama' set in 2017, with the funny clothes & retro technology, has resulted in Dylan fucking his mother yet, especially with the teenage kids of their own giving them enough headaches. Maybe the internet as we know it won't even exist & they'll be watching holographic Sophia & family at the press of a button?
There's many ways this could be sorted & many have been suggested. There's only one fool-proof method to initiate positive change & that's a mass Patron desertion, which as we can see, won't happen. In the meantime the same views will continue to be expressed.
